I am pleased to announce that our congregation has reached its fundraising goal of $2,000 for the 2008 project of Grand Ave in Los Angeles. Thank you for your outstanding support! The Grand Ave project has finally received all its construction permits after being delayed several months due to plot plan issues. A full work schedule is expected to start in early September after the foundation and pad is poured. The last work day for our congregation to support this year: December 6. We will be partnering with Trinity Manhattan Beach and First Lutheran in Manhattan Beach. We encourage volunteers who are available to come out on additional Saturdays, and during the week to sign up http://www.habitatla.org/volunteer.asp and click on the Volunteer Up button. We will need many Lutheran and Thrivent member hours logged in at the construction site before the congregations’ commitment can be completed. Thank you again for your wonderful support!
