Move Across America
The
3-5th grade classes will began our "Move Across America" campaign on
Friday February 18 from 1-1:30PM. As we run, jog, or walk our laps in
PE, we will calculate the miles traveled as a group. Each week we will see how far we have traveled
across our country, learning facts about locations along the way. Our
goal is to reach New York by the end of the year and we need your help.
Lace up your walking shoes and join us around the track. Every lap
walked, jogged, or ran will help us in our journey across
America. We will continue this every Friday from
1-1:30PM from now until the end of the school year. Hope to
see you on the track (blacktop)!

Help for Haiti The
devastation caused by the recent earthquake in Haiti has been
tremendous. People who must flee their homes quickly often do not
have time to pack essential items. Health kits can help refugees
maintain personal hygiene while living in exile. Items may also
contribute to a new start for those who can return home. Our
school would like to help the relief effort by donating health kits to
be distributed to the people of Haiti through Lutheran World
Relief. We would like to ship the health kits on Friday March
5. Please contact the school office 310-675-4493 ext
103 with any questions or to donate. |
